Q: Are the ground anchors that much different from other makes of swing?

A: In short, yes. The anchors are fully galvanised and allow you to screw the anchor into your lawned area for a secure fixing without the need to permanently locate the swingframe with concrete. If you still want to concrete these anchors in then you can of course.

Q: Is the wood also premium? Wood is wood, no?

A: Hi, whilst all swing frames use soft wood, the Premium Range is wood sourced from Scandinavia and Lithuania where the selected pine trees grow more slowly so the rings in the wood are tighter. The wood when harvested is then kiln dried and then pressure treated with class 4 (which means it can be in ground contact and sunken in ground for up to 15 years) - this is what allows us to offer the 10 year guarantee. Most other sets on the market are to class 3 and class 2 meaning they cannot offer the same guarantees. Kiln drying the wood also means that cracking (a natural occurrence in all wood) is less prominent and the wood treatment penetrates the wood better.

Q: Why do you not need to concrete it into the ground? What makes it different to other swing sets / safer?

A: Hello, the anchors provided can be screwed directly into the ground. The disc that is screwed in is 10cm and the anchor will be half a meter into the ground once fully screwed in. You are welcome to concrete this swing into the ground, however, this is not a necessity.
